Galvanized Wire Rope
Supplied with a steel wire strand core, this versatile construction has reasonable flexibility in small cord diameters and is mainly supplied in 1mm to 8mm. Typically used as a general purpose wire rope, it is ideally suited for guy wires, guard rails, lanyards and suspension cables.
This general engineering construction has greater flexibility whilst still maintaining a good breaking strain. The rope has a steel wire strand core and the most popular sizes range from 2.5mm up to 16mm diameter. This construction is good for lifting, winching and safety applications.
Supplied with a fibre core / poly core, this general engineering construction has slightly more flexibility than 7×19 (WSC) but slightly less breaking strain. Typically supplied from 3mm up to 16mm diameter this construction is well-suited for use with pulley systems where the extra flexibility is required.
Supplied with an independent wire rope core this general engineering construction is available from 8mm to 26mm diameter offering greater flexibility at these larger sizes whilst still maintaining a good breaking strain. Typically used in the lifting, winching and crane industries.
Supplied with a fibre core / poly core this general engineering construction is available from 8mm to 26mm diameter offering slightly more flexibility than 6×36 (IWRC) but with slightly less breaking strain. Typically used in the lifting, winching and crane industries.
Supplied with a steel wire strand core this rotation resistant construction offers both good flexibility and breaking strains from 5mm up to 16mm diameter. Typically used in cranes and lifting industries where the anti twist characteristics are paramount.
Supplied as strand construction this has the least flexibility when compared to the above constructions but offers greater strength in comparison. Typically used as a control cable in small cord diameters but in larger diameters up to 6mm it’s also used as guard rails, barrier cable and balustrading.
